Summer Students
The Municipality is, once again, offering exciting, summer employment opportunities to eligible students for 2012
All qualified students, who are residents and whose parents or legal guardians are residents of the region, will be given first consideration.
Each position has specific requirements for education and training. To provide equal and fair access to summer employment, some returning summer student positions will be chosen by a lottery. Due to the incredible volume of applications, only a limited number of returning students will be permitted this year based on their past experience.
The earliest start date is May 4, which may vary depending on each position. The last day of employment will be September 14, with no extensions beyond this date. Applicants must also provide proof of full-time, post-secondary enrollment for fall 2012.
Interviews will commence by mid-March and hiring in April, which will continue until all positions have been filled.
