Creating a new child page

Pages are created by adding child pages to an existing page. The page you add the child pages to becomes the parent page for the ones you add.

The most commonly used page type is the General Content page type. This is a generic page type used for the majority of our website, and is used for posting text and images.

If you require a new page that has specialized functions such as a (survey, picture gallery, blog, etc) please submit a project request to communications using the contact link on the left.

  1. Locate the parent page you want to add the new child page to

  2. Click the Edit button

  3. On the parent page, go to the Child Pages tab.

  4. Mouse over the New button and select the General Content page type.

  5. Complete the Title and Menu Title fields only, and then type or paste your content into the content area

    Please note:

When copying content from any external source, you MUST clear all associated formatting first before pasting it into the web page. Failure to do so will result in "code confusion" where your webpage will incorrectly display your content formatting, as it will be trying to read the associated formatting information from your original source.

To remove all formatting, open notepad and paste the text in there. This will strip all the formatting and convert your information to plain text. Copy this text from notepad and then paste it into webpage content area and format as needed using the buttoms provided above that area.
