Uploading a file for inclusion on your web page

Adding digital assets to the library

Use these procedures to add digital assets to the Digital Asset Library. If creating a new collection of files which require a separate folder, be sure you have already created a digital assets folder structure so that you can add the asset to the desired folder.

Please Note:

Be sure to resize your images and reduce files sizes where possible before uploading them to digital assets.

Adding a single digital asset

  1. From the System Toolbar, click Systsm and then Digital Asset Manager.

  2. Click Add Asset.

  3. Be sure the Active checkbox is checked otherwise the asset will not be available for users to add to their content.

  4. Enter the Name of the digital asset. This is the name users will use to identify the content of the asset  file.

  5. Ignore the URL and  Description fields

  6. Enter an Alt Tag for the digital asset. The text you enter here will be displayed when users place the mouse pointer over top of the asset image or link.

  7. In the Assign to Folder field, select the digital asset folder you want to put the asset into.

  8. In the Upload field, click Browse and select the file to add to the library.

  9. Click Save.
