Communities in Bloom Committee

General Duties

Plan and coordinate Communities in Bloom activities and programs (Spring Trade Show, Nominate your Neighbour / Business in Bloom, Flower of the Year, National Judges Visit and special events).
Development of future projects and programs.
Act as a link to the group(s) that the Committee member portfolio represents.
Encourage other groups/individuals to get involved in Communities in Bloom.
As a team organize a presentation to Council once a year.

Time Commitment

One evening meeting per month – approximately 2 hours (meetings are currently held on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.). 
Support of program and special events 2 -3 hours a month.
Additional time commitment may be required during the months of April (Spring Trade Show), June/July (Nominate your Neighbour/Business in Bloom), August (Judges visit) and December (Winter program)

Eligibility

Must be 18 years of age; and
Must be a resident of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
