Landlord and Tenant Advisory Board

Responsibilities

  • Advise landlords and tenants in tenancy matters.
  • Inform and educate landlords and tenants about their rights, remedies and obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act of Alberta.
  • Receive complaints and seek to mediate disputes between landlords and tenants.

Time Commitment

One evening meeting per month - approximately 1 ½ hours (meetings are currently held on the third Thursday of the month)

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years of age; and
  • Must be a resident of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Application forms can also be picked up at the Customer Service Counter located on the Main Floor of the Municipal Offices (9909 Franklin Avenue), or at the Municipal Offices located in Anzac, Janvier, Conklin and Fort Chipewyan.
