MACOY - The Mayor's Advisory Council on Youth

MISSION

To empower and engage youth in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo both actively and inclusively to make a significant difference in their community.

PURPOSE

The purpose of MACOY is to empower youth to become actively engaged citizens who have a voice in decisions that affect them. MACOY members are champions of the community who work to improve the quality of life of all citizens.

WHY YOUTH SHOULD JOIN

  • You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in your community
  • MACOY is a way to implement your ideas and to be heard
  • You will be able to discuss topics you are passionate about and take action in the community
  • You will be able to experience fun and free activities and opportunities

ALUMNI

After MACOY members have graduated, there is still an opportunity to be involved! MACOY alumni act as mentors for current members and are invited to participate in our activities.
