Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
Responsibilities
Board members hear subdivision and development appeals and make decisions on these appeals in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, statutory plans (Municipal Development Plan, Area Structure Plans and Land Use Bylaw), and Provincial and Council policies.
Time Requirements
Hearings are currently held every third Thursday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. The length of hearings varies and could take up to several hours.
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years of age;
- Must be a resident of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo;
- Must not be an Employee of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo;
- Must not be a Development Authority or a Subdivision Authority for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo;
- Must not be a member of the Development Authority or Subdivision Authority for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo; and
- Must not be a member of a Municipal Planning Commission.
