Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)'s office is located on the seventh floor of Jubilee Centre, situated in the heart of downtown Fort McMurray at 9909 Franklin Avenue.
The CAO is responsible for the administration of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and is accountable to the Mayor and Council. He is required to attend all meetings of Council. The CAO provides leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of all policies and programs established and approved by Council. He provides guidance and advice to Council regarding legislation and municipal operations, and provides background information in order for council to make informed decisions.
All municipal division heads are accountable to the CAO for the delivery of divisional business plans within budgets approved by Council.
