Solid Waste and Landfill
- The Municipal Landfill is located approximately 8.5 km south on Highway 63.

Underground Services (UGS)
- UGS provides services for the Municipality’s water distribution, sanitary sewage and storm water collection systems, and residential/commercial water metering.
- UGS personnel work out of the Athabasca Water Treatment located immediately north of the Steinhauer Bridge. Please note that due to construction this site is not open to the public at this time.

Water Treatment
- The Fort McMurray Athabasca Water Treatment Plant is currently undergoing a major expansion. This project will enable service provision for a population 133,000 and includes a new treated water reservoir that doubles the existing capacity to 24,000 cubic meters.
- The water treatment plant is located at #1 Silin Forest Road. Due to construction the site has restricted access and is not open to the public.
- Two truck fills are available: in front of the water treatment plant at #1 Silin Forest Road, and in front of the Wastewater Plant at 780 Memorial Drive.

Wastewater Treatment
- This state of the art facility was commissioned in 2010 to serve a customer base of 133,000 people. It provides a high quality effluent which meets current and proposed future Provincial standards.
- The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 820 Memorial Drive.
