Ride to the airport for the price of a regular fare

(Fort McMurray, AB – September 26, 2012) – Public transit service extends to the airport starting October 1, 2012, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo announced today.

The route runs between downtown and the airport for the price of a regular fare. The service will run six times a day on weekdays, four times on Saturday and three times on Sundays and statutory holidays.

Seniors and children under 5 ride for free.

“An important part of our mandate is developing sustainable mobility choices,” said Glen Smith, director of public operations. “By developing viable transportation alternatives we’re enabling residents to move within communities and throughout the region.”
