BuoyAquatics Training Initiative

Public pools require two essentials: Water and lifeguards.

And since Wood Buffalo is about to have a lot of water with the opening of the aquatics centre at MacDonald Island, the Parks, Recreation and Culture department is wondering if you would like to ‘jump in’ and acquire aquatics training as a swimming instructor or a lifeguard.

We are targeting three main groups:

Wood Buffalo is offering aquatics training classes at various times so that it is possible for those who are interested to fit their training into their schedules. The only cost being passed on to candidates is a minimal certification fee for each aquatic award.
