The registered owner of a house premises shall ensure that:

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   roofs, foundations, walls, windows, and doors must be waterproof, windproof and weatherproof

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   walls, ceilings, windows, and floors in good repair with no major cracks

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   ceiling, walls, doors, floors, and floor coverings are in good repair and easy to clean

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   cooking and food storage equipment (if supplied by the owner) is kept repaired and replaced when necessary

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   common areas must be kept clean and sanitary

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   hot water is maintained at 46 degrees Celsius; cold water available

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   no leaks or plumbing defects

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   proper ventilation in the bathroom

Spot.wmf (10226 bytes)   the heating system must be able to maintain at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius) in all rooms
