Heavy Item Pick Up

Residents can have large household items such as furniture and appliances picked up from the curb and taken to the landfill.

All items are required to be registered for pick up and placed roadside by 8 a.m. on the confirmed date of pick up. Maximum 4 items per household.

Construction/renovation materials, yard, household, animal waste and non-household items are not accepted.

In order to protect the environment and prevent hazardous waste and environmental damage to the ozone, a $39.00 charge will be applied for removal and disposal of CFCs on all fridges, freezers, compressors, water cooling units and air conditioners.

In 2012 the Heavy Item pick up program will expand to run Spring - Fall.  Registrations will be opened May 15, please register items for pick up by calling the Recycling Hotline at 780-588-4720.

Waived Landfill Fee Campaign

Entrance disposal fees for RESIDENTIAL LOADS 400kg or less will be waived from April 25 - May 9 at the Regional Landfill.  All other disposal fees and charges apply.
