Q. How do I report a noise complaint?
A. Call the Bylaw Complaints line at (780) 788-4200. -
Q. How do I report an animal control complaint?
A. Call the SPCA Animal Control line at (780) 743-8997. -
Q. Where can I learn more about the bylaws in effect in the Municipality?
A. Bylaws are listed on the website under Municipal Bylaws. You can also contact the Bylaw Administration Line at (780) 788-4200. -

Q. How do I get a background or security check?
A. You can go to the Timberlea RCMP Detachment at 105 Paquette Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.- Criminal Record Check $15.75
- Fingerprints $10.50
Important notes:
- Fingerprints are only taken Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
- Chauffer fingerprints are taken on Tuesday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
- The security check will be ready for pickup within two weeks.

Q. How do I apply for a pardon?
A. A pardon booklet can be picked up at the RCMP detachment located at 105 Paquette Drive in Timberlea. You can also access the information through the National Pardons Bureau online at www.npb-cnlc.gc.ca/pardons

Q. Is it possible to sign up for a ride-along?
A. You must be a confirmed and accepted applicant to the RCMP Training Academy to go on a ride-along. The only exception is media personnel. The RCMP does not offer ride-alongs to the general public. -
Q. Where do I pay my speeding ticket?
A. The instructions to pay or dispute a speeding ticket or any other ticket are on the back of the copy you are given by the Peace Officer. You can pay any ticket at the courthouse, located at 9700 Franklin Avenue, through mail, or online at www.finepayment.gov.ab.ca

Q. Where do I pay my parking ticket?
A. Parking tickets are paid at the cashier’s desk on the main floor of the Jubilee Centre, 9909 Franklin Avenue, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. -
Q. I want to dispute the ticket I got. How do I do that?
A. To dispute your ticket, you must appear in court during the date and time listed on your ticket. -
Q. Are there police or bylaw auctions?
A. No. -
Q. Someone constantly parks in front of my house. Can I do anything?
A. Yes. If your driveway is obstructed (within 1.5 meters of your driveway entrance), or if the vehicle has been parked there for more than 72 hours, you can call the Bylaw Complaints line at (780) 788-4200. -
Q. Does my landlord have an obligation to provide parking for all my vehicles?
A. No. Legislation does not require a landlord to provide parking for tenants. However, tenants can ensure parking is addressed in the lease agreement; therefore the landlord will have to oblige and provide specified parking. -
Q. Where are dog parks located? Is it necessary to have your dog on a leash there?
A. Yes. According to Animal Control Bylaw No. 02/031, all animals must be kept on a leash at all times. The following is a list of the off-leash dog parks in Fort McMurray:- Beside the Water Treatment Plant

Q. If I see a threatening wild animal, such as a bear, should I report it to someone?
A. Yes. Sightings can be reported to the local Fish and Wildlife Office at (780) 743-7200.
