Garbage Collection
To reduce the quantity of garbage going to the landfill site, the municipality has a four (4) container limit on residential garbage collection.
If you have more than four (4) containers, an extra tag is required for each bag. Each tag is $1 and can be purchased at the Jubilee Centre, 9909 Franklin Avenue or Timberlea Landing, 309 Powder Drive.
- Garbage must be curb side by 7:30 a.m. on pick-up day.
- A standard garbage bag or bin cannot exceed a maximum weight of 45 lbs. (20.5 kg).
- Ensure vehicles are not parked on the street on pick-up day.
- Ensure garbage can lids are secure.
- Ensure garbage is protected from animals and birds by covering it with a tarp or old blanket.
- It is the home owner's responsibility to clean up garbage that is littered from torn bags or unsecured bins by animals or birds.

* Any residential areas in the grey area of the map are currently receiving drop-off bin service and will be notified by the Municipality when curb side garbage collection starts. When it does start, the garbage collection day will be Monday.
