Mayor Blake to deliver State of the Region Address

(Fort McMurray, AB – November 16, 2009) – Mayor Melissa Blake will deliver a State of the Region Address on Thursday, November 26, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo announced today.

The address will occur at the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce Networking Luncheon at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre. Mayor Blake will provide an update on community development, infrastructure projects and more.

“With so much going on in Wood Buffalo, I feel it is important to ensure every one is informed,” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “This address is a fantastic way to connect with the public and I look forward to updating our most important stakeholders – the residents of the Municipality.”

The public can register to attend the State of the Region Address at the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce’s website, which is www.fortmcmurraychamber.ca. The deadline to register is Monday, November 23.

For residents who are unable to attend, the Municipality will record Mayor Blake’s address and post a video of it at www.woodbuffalo.ab.ca.
