(Fort McMurray, AB – November 5, 2009) – Residents living in all corners of the Municipality and around the world will be able to watch the Wood Buffalo Olympic Torch Relay live online, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo announced today.
A live video feed on the Municipality’s website will showcase the celebration taking place at MacDonald Island Park. Members of the public who are unable to attend live will be able to watch this once-in-a-generation event from the comfort of their computer.
The live video link will run from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 6 and will show the free concerts by Aaron Lines and Paul Brandt, the local multicultural performances, the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron, and speeches from local dignitaries.
