Traffic disruptions near Riedel Street due to construction of
sanitary forcemain

(Fort McMurray, AB – October 23, 2009) – Construction of a sanitary forcemain has commenced adjacent to Riedel Street, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo announced today.

Motorists can expect traffic disruptions adjacent to Riedel Street (between Sears and Wood Buffalo Housing). Construction started October 23 and is scheduled to last approximately one week.

This forcemain project is part of the larger Sanitary Sewer Forcemain Upgrade that will connect to the newly constructed Waste Water Treatment Plant on Highway 63 north of Confederation Way.

The Municipality will continue to notify residents of any related road closures and traffic disruptions.
